Hi everyone! My name is Ally McCaslin, one of the new instructors at Aero II Academy and I'm so excited to fly with you! My aviation journey started in 2023 after graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in Addiction & Recovery. I was a flight attendant with Delta Airlines for two years based in Detroit and knew I wanted to give flying a shot when my favorite part was sitting in the flight deck! In summer of 2024, I took my discovery flight at JQF and fell in love right away! I completed my private license at a part 61 school in Concord before finishing out my ratings at ATP Flight School JQF. After completing the program, I started flying for SAI Flight Services in Greenville, South Carolina. When I'm not instructing, I am flying as an SIC in the King Air 300, 200, or flight attending on the Challenger 604. When I'm not in the air I love running, hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with my seven year old Golden Retriever, Nala!

I am so excited to be joining the Aero II Academy crew and can't to take new students from zero time to flying professionally!

Hi! My name is Travis Powers, and I’m a Certified Flight Instructor. I hold Commercial ASEL, Instrument Airplane, and CFI certificates, currently have approximately 435 total flight hours, and I’m working toward my CFII. I earned my Private Pilot certificate in Sarasota, Florida, completed my Instrument rating in Charleston, South Carolina, and earned my Commercial and CFI certificates in Greenville, South Carolina. I have experience flying Cessna 172s, Piper PA-28s, and Diamond DA40s, and I especially enjoy helping students become comfortable and confident operating in towered airport environments, including radio communication, traffic flow, and situational awareness. My long-term career goal is to fly for the airlines while continuing to help students achieve their aviation goals along the way. Outside of aviation, I enjoy home improvement projects, swimming in the pool, working outdoors, and spending time with my wife and two daughters.

Hi, I'm Adam, a passionate aviator dedicated to helping students become confident and safe pilots. I have always been around aviation as a third-generation pilot. My aviation journey started when I was 16, and since then, it has been amazing, leading me to where I am now. Just because it feels like it's taking too long, don’t quit. My eventual goal is to fly for Delta Airlines. Aviation is all about taking any opportunity that comes your way and seeing where it takes you, one step at a time. I have logged over 750 Flight hours, including over 30 multi-engine hours, 150 instrument hours, and even some jet time. I am well-versed in both Cessna and Piper aircraft. I am very big on the demonstration-performance teaching style because I have found that most people learn best through hands-on experience, and aviation is all about reacting to certain actions. I also own and operate a Cessna 150F. Outside of aviation, I am an avid mountain biker.

Hi, I'm Tony Maderspach, a passionate aviator dedicated to helping students become confident and safe pilots.  I have always been around aviation as a Civil Air Patrol Cadet, Air Force Officer, and B-52 Electronic Warfare Officer.  My aviation journey started when I was 7, and since then, it has always been amazing, leading me to where I am now.  Just because it feels like it's taking too long, don't quit.  My eventual goal is to be a multi engine pilot for an international flight school.  Aviation is all about taking any opportunity that comes your way and seeing where it takes you, one step at a time.  I have logged over 5,500 hours, including over 300 multi engine hours, and 300 instrument hours.  I am well versed in Cessna, Piper, and Cirrus aircraft. I am very big on the demonstration-performance teaching style because I have found that most people learn through hands-on experience, and aviation is all about reacting to certain actions.  Outside of aviation, I am an avid cross-country runner, piano player, and read Germain, Hungarian, and French. With over 5400 flight hours and more than 39 years in aviation, I bring both depth and precision to every aviation training flight, making me a strong candidate for flight instructor jobs and dispatcher positions.
